WARNING SIGNS OF WEAK TESTING METHODS
Look for the following signals that something in your school is wrong: Few tests are carried out; competitive exercises such as spelling bees are lost. Tests appear easy; students usually have open books. Grades mainly based on projects and activities (with few paper and crayon tests). Tests rarely require students to recall specific knowledge or answer correct answers to questions. Tests given seldom (in upper grades). Tests not corrected promptly by the teacher and returned with observations. Students are tested on the knowledge and skills identified in the curriculum standards erratically.
